What material is used underneath the fabric on this ottoman bed?
There's a foam padding on the headboard that's going to keep the users comfortable while sitting up and relaxing before bedtime. There's also a wooden carcass that's robust and strong ideal for the long term. This keeps the structure of the bed solid and together for the long term. There's metal screw insert sections this attaches the base together and keeps everything tight and structurally stable. The materials used on this bed are light weight so it's easy to deal with when building or needs to be moved around the room while cleaning or taking into other spaces.
Is the storage section easy to access on this ottoman bed?
Yes there's a few reasons for this. You should use the fabric handle located on the front on the bed this will help for opening and closing the top of the bed. There's also the gas piston hinges this will do most of the work for you. You start the lift then the gas piston will take care of the rest. The base opens up providing enough space to access the below area easily. When folding back down just push down on the front of the mattress and pull the handle down. We would recommend always opening at the front and not at the sides. The first time you close the bed or open make sure to put the mattress on the slatted section this helps with even weight distribution and the top should come down easily.
How easy is this ottoman bed to build?
We would say building this bed is a 2 person job. Unpacking and assembling will probably take around 2 - 3 hours. Step one would be to unpack everything out of the boxes and add the cardboard to the recycling bin. Lay everything out foot board at the lower space of the bedroom and headboard at the top. The side rails at the side and metal frame in a separate space. Make sure to read the instructions and follow them step by step. Take the bolts and accessory parts and separate them into order this is best practice. Make sure to check measurements of the bolts to the instructions before the build is started this will make sure that you get this correct as you don't want to unbuild half way though the build and start again. When you've finished go round and tighten the bolts one last time. Keep the instructions behind the headboard or in a safe place for when your dismantling in the future. Last but not least add your mattress and bedding when finished.
