At Better Bed Company we want to make sure that our customers are informed on all details during the purchase of there beds and mattresses. We have come up with some advice on checking your homes before you go ahead and order. This is an important part of the process as you do not want to bend any items being delivered. Also sometimes products just won't fit. 

Door Way Measurements 

Make sure that your front door is adequate for the mattress or bed. If you mesure the door way at an angle then allow for the depth of the mattress as well. Also remember all door ways leading to the bedroom of your choice.

You could always use a back sliding door if you have one. If this is the case make sure access areas are clear for a two man delivery as they will need space during the delivery process. 

Check Stair Way Area

If you have a narrow stair way it's important to check the mattress and beds will go around the corners. You should make sure that the height is measured as on some occasion's the height of your stairs area can become and issue from experience. If you have banister rails please take these into account. 

Drive Way And Path Leading To House. 

Its a good idea to check that the path way is clear with enough space for maneuvering with the products. If you have a large item that is eg 6ft mattress just check for greenery around the path way for any hang over trees and plants.

 

Bedroom Space

You would want to check that your furniture will open properly before you make a purchase. So check that you can open you wardrobes. Your dressing tables should be accessible.

Also check that your bed side tables will fit into place as well. Don't forget about opening the draws if you go for draw options on your bed take this into account as well. Depending on your headboard depth you should look at the length of the bed with the headboard attached.
